FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything patients ask before travelling to Istanbul for treatment.
General
Istanbul combines JCI-accredited hospitals, internationally trained surgeons, and prices 50–70% below Western Europe and the US — plus a world-class city for recovery.
Typically 50–70% on surgery and 40–60% on dental work, before travel costs. A $15,000 US hair transplant is $1,500–3,500 in Istanbul; a $40,000 knee replacement is $15,000–20,000.
Safety
Istanbul has more JCI-accredited hospitals than any city in Europe — over 40. Always verify accreditation on the JCI website before booking; our listed clinics are accredited or ISO-certified.
For most procedures, yes — you fly home 2–10 days post-op depending on the surgery. Your package includes medical clearance before departure and in-flight guidance (compression socks, hydration).
Reputable clinics offer post-op WhatsApp support and free revisions for complications within 12 months. Our recommended clinics all include this in writing.
Clinics are bound by Turkish health-data regulations and international patient confidentiality standards. Share records only through your patient coordinator's secure channel.
Travel
Most nationalities qualify for a 30-day e-visa issued online in minutes. For longer stays, clinics provide an official medical invitation letter.
Absolutely — most patients add 3–5 days of sightseeing after recovery begins. Istanbul's historic peninsula, Bosphorus cruises and shopping districts are all close to the major medical districts.
Packages
Typically: pre-op tests, the procedure, hospital stay, hotel recovery, airport transfers, medication, translation assistance and follow-up. Each package on this site lists exact inclusions.
No hidden fees. The price shown is the clinic's price — we earn from the clinic, never by marking up your treatment.
Booking
Submit the quote form on any treatment or package page with your details and medical history. A patient coordinator responds within 24 hours with an itemised plan.
Most clinics accept bank transfer, card and cash. Deposits are typically 30% at booking, balance before surgery. Always get an itemised invoice.
